Mr. Brunkhorst is a native Ottawa County resident. He graduated from Salem-Oak Harbor High School in 1966 and from the University of Toledo with a BS in Engineering in 1970. Mr. Brunkhorst worked in the Ottawa County Engineer's office from June, 1968, through March, 1981, initially as a summer intern and then as a Deputy Engineer beginning in January 1971. In 1981, Mr. Brunkhorst founded Brunkhorst Engineering Consultants, Inc. His company has focused nearly 75% of its efforts in serving the engineering and surveying needs of Ottawa County. He is currently a member of the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation, the Ottawa County Township Trustees and Clerks Association as well as a current member of the 9-member Board of Directors for Ducks Unlimited de Mexico.
