Ottawa County Engineer
Ron has been with the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office since 2003. He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1996 and continued his education at the University of Toledo where he earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering. He completed his Surveying Certificate from Owens State Community College and became dual licensed in 2010.
Ron’s responsibilities at the County include oversight of all construction and maintenance projects as they pertain to County roads, bridges, subdivisions, and drainage. He and his staff routinely assist the Township Trustees with all of their infrastructure projects as well. Ron is also heavily involved with the Ottawa County Soil and Water Conservation District, both in and outside of work.
Ron is currently a member of the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation, the Ottawa County Township Trustee and Clerks Association, and the Ottawa County Planning Commission.

The Ottawa County Engineer’s Office is accepting applications for the full time position of Highway Worker I. A detailed job description, pay range, and application are available below.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, have a clear driving record, and is subject to a criminal background check. To be considered for the position, submit a completed application and a copy of your Class A CDL driver’s license to The Ottawa County Engineer’s Office, 8247 West State Route #163, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449 by April 12, 2019.
