Michael J. Wittman, P.S.
Mike is the Chief Surveyor for the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office. He started with the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office in June of 1987 as part-time summer help. He was hired full time in May 1992. He has held the positions of Tax Map Draftsman/CAD Operator, GIS Manager, and Survey Crew Chief. Mike holds an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering from Owens Technical College and certificates in Cad Operation and Construction Inspection. He is an ADDA Certified Draftsman and a State of Ohio Registered Surveyor.
Mike’s main duties are; Supervision and or performance of all survey work by the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office, review of new legal descriptions, lot splits and new subdivision plats, verification of subdivision monumentation for approval of plats, and answering inquiries from the general public.
James Moore, P.E.
Jim joined the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office in 2010. He is a graduate of The University of Toledo and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering. His engineering experience was gained as a consulting engineer over the past 18 years. This experience has allowed him to become involved with many duties and challenges at the County Engineer’s Office.
Jim’s responsibilities include administration of the County Bridge Inspection and Maintenance Program, including the load rating of all bridges within the County’s jurisdiction. Other duties involve project management, engineering design, plan review, and construction inspection associated with maintenance and capital improvement projects developed by the county.
Michael C. Brough
Mike is the Utilities Coordinator for the office. He started with us in 1982 as part time summer help and was hired full time in September of 1987.
He is responsible for locating utilities, reviewing applications and permits for work to be performed within the county and/or township road right-of-ways. He is on site during the installation of said utilities to assure they are placed in compliance with approved plans and specifications. Mike is also responsible for road crossings, storm sewer taps, and assists with the driveway installation process. In addition, he aids with drainage issues throughout the county as requested
Jeff started with the County Engineer’s Office in May, 2007. He is a 1988 graduate of Indiana State University.
He assists with boundary and construction surveys. He is also involved with maintenance of section corners and benchmarks throughout the county. Additionally, he provides support for Engineer’s Office staff as needed.
Tina started as an Accounting Clerk/Receptionist for the County Engineer’s Office in 1998. She is now the Executive Assistant to the County Engineer
Her responsibilities include handling of daily accounting functions, payroll, budgetary items, financial reporting, computer and software support for the office, and oversight of the County Engineer’s Web Page. She also assists with various other functions including contract documentation, equipment purchases, and numerous administrative functions.
