Have you seen it? The white “Hot Shot” truck traveling around the county delivering a hot meal to Ottawa County Seniors. Home Delivered Meals are offered to residents of Ottawa County who meet the following criteria:
- 60 years of age or older
- homebound,
- unable to participate in the senior dining site program,
- unable to obtain food or prepare meals
- no adult living in the same building or area, able and willing to prepare meals
***In addition, client should be able to feed him/herself without assistance and agree to be home when meals are delivered.
An in-home assessment must be completed to determine eligibility. Hot meals are delivered Monday though Friday and frozen meals are offered for delivery once a week. The suggested donation for the meals is $2.50. No eligible person will be denied service because of failure to contribute all or part of the donation. Checks for donations can be made payable to:

Ottawa County Home Delivered Meals program is offered to seniors through a partnership with the Ottawa County Transportation Agency, INNOVATIONS Food Service, Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio, Inc. and the Ottawa County Senior Resources Department.
