Ottawa County Senior Home Care Program

The Senior Home Care Program is available to anyone 60 years of age or older who is living in a home setting and needs assistance in order to remain safely at home.


ALZHEIMER’S DAY CARE AND RESPITE CARE SERVICES

Ottawa County’s only Adult Day Program!  DayBreak provides a pleasant and secure environment overseen by a team of caring professionals.

FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT

It is estimated that 80% of all care provided to older adults is provided by family members.  Family caregivers therefore play a critical role in the lives & well being of our area's seniors.
Family Caregiver Support provides information,
referral, temporary respite services, and some supplemental services to caregivers of older persons in Ottawa County, Ohio.

 

AARP

AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people age 50 and over. The lead positive social change and deliver value to members through information, advocacy and service. "Age is just a number and life is what you make it."

 

Administration on Aging (AoA)

One of the nation's largest providers of home-based care for older persons and their caregivers. AoA's mission is to develop a comprehensive, coordinated and cost-effective system of long-term care that help elderly individuals to maintain their dignity in their homes and communities.
 

Alzheimer's Association - Northwest Ohio Chapter, Toledo

Their mission is to enhance the quality of life of all persons affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders through compassionate, comprehensive services; effective advocacy; support of research; and access to current information and resources.
 

American Society on Aging (ASA)

ASA offers a diverse array of renowned educational programming, outstanding publications and state-of-the-art information and training resources, and the largest and most dynamic network of professionals in the field of aging.
 

Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio

The Area Office on Aging provides you and your loved ones with the quality services that allow you to be as independent as possible, empowering you to live your life to the fullest. Search for available services on their website.
 

National Council on the Aging

Programs to help older people to remain healthy, find jobs, discover new ways to continue contribute to society after retirement, and take advantage of government and private benefits programs that can improve the quality of their lives.
 

Ohio Department of Aging / Golden Buckeye

Helps mature adults live active, healthy and independent lives through programs like the well-known "golden buckeye card." Home and community-based services that help frail individuals remain in their own homes and support consumers of long-term care are provided.
 

Social Security Administration
