We may
be one of the smallest Senior Centers in the state but we
have huge spirit and participation. During the winter
season we may be kind of quiet but when the Ferry Boats
start running we really get busy. Our usual activities
include Blood Pressures, Coffee Hours, Crafts, Bridge
Groups, Card Groups, Bingo, Mah Jongg, Dominoes, Field
Trips, Shopping Trips, Lunches, Brunches, Pot Lucks and even
a Red Hat Group known at the South Bass Belles. We also make
our way to the mainland to participate in many of the Ottawa
County Senior Programs that are available.
Our island
year round members, seasonal members, and visitors enjoy having
fun, learning, and sharing experiences. We are open almost every
day with meals generally served on Thursdays. If you are not
sure of our schedule, we always have our schedule posted in our
window, at the grocery store, and at the Post Office. Come
check us out at one of the few island-based Seniors Center in
the country! |
