Program Overview
You may have seen the white Hot Shot
truck traveling around the county delivering a hot meal to Ottawa County Seniors.
Eligibility
Home Delivered Meals are offered to residents of Ottawa County who meet the following criteria:
- 60 years of age or older
- Homebound
- No adult living in the same building or area, able and willing to prepare meals
- Unable to obtain food or prepare meals
- Unable to participate in the senior dining site program
- In addition, client should be able to feed him/herself without assistance and agree to be home when meals are delivered
Eligibility Confirmation & Donations
An in-home assessment must be completed to determine eligibility. Hot meals are delivered Monday though Friday. The suggested donation for the meals is $3. No eligible person will be denied service because of failure to contribute all or part of the donation. Checks for donations can be made payable to:
