Ottawa County Survey Data Map
The Ottawa County Engineer’s Office has been diligently working to better serve our constituents and provide quick, easy access to our survey data. Over the years we have scanned our documents and currently provide them via e-mail or print. However, our goal has always been to provide this information via the internet at your fingertips. In 2011, we embarked on a Geographic Information System (GIS) project which would store all of our scanned data in one location and make it accessible and searchable by just looking at a map and clicking on a feature. Fast forward to 2014, the Ottawa County Auditor’s Office, Ottawa County Sanitary Engineer’s Office and the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office collaborated and completed a project with Bruce Harris & Associates, Inc., that will allow us to provide you with a web based map that has accomplished our goal!
As always, we continue to serve you by sending e-mails and providing prints of our data per your request, but we hope that you utilize this option as well, as sometime you may need the data outside of our normal business hours.
Unfortunately, given the abundant amount of data this office has, there will always be a lot of work to do. There are various items that may not be linked to the map, but please be assured we are always working on adding data as often as possible as the map will constantly be evolving and updated daily.
The GIS information provided in this map was prepared by the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office with assistance of the Ottawa County’s Auditor’s Office for parcel data information. The map is intended to provide a means of access to survey plats, subdivision plats and improvement plans and survey control point data (section corner data and benchmark data). The parcel / boundary lines and aerial photography included in this map is for graphical information purposes only, and the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office makes no representation to its accuracy, merchantability or fitness for any other purpose, express or implied. Any user of this information accepts the same “as is”, “with all faults” and assumes all responsibility for any use other than the intent stated above. The user of this data agrees to hold the Ottawa County Engineer’s Office and all participating agents listed above, harmless from and against any damage, loss or liability from any use of the information contained therein.
