Traffic Pattern Change – Bay Shore Road at Port Clinton Eastern

The Ottawa County Engineer’s Office has completed a capital improvement project to address safety concerns associated with the existing intersection at Bay Shore Road (CR-135A), Port Clinton Eastern Road (CR-5), and Wahlers Road (CR-228) in Danbury Township. Details of the new intersection include:

Bay Shore at Port Clinton Eastern

  • A left turn lane for traffic traveling eastbound Bay Shore Road to Port Clinton Eastern Road
  • Relocation of a portion of Port Clinton Eastern Road to create a T-intersection with Bay Shore Road
  • The complete elimination of Wahlers Road
  • Installation of updated traffic signs including LED enhanced signing to alert the travelling public of the change in traffic pattern

The travelling public should exercise caution when traveling through the modified intersection while the general public is becoming accustomed to the revised traffic pattern.

* This project was funded in part through the Highway Safety Improvement Program administered by ODOT through the County Engineer’s Associated of Ohio.
